Oh boy. So here’s the picture of the Drunk Negro Head Cookies as talked about earlier today on the Howard Stern Show.

If anyone out there is a listener, the baker who put these cookies out was using the same tactic as Sal the Stock Broker in defense of not being a racist. Ted Kefalinos, of the Lafayette French Pastry located in Greenwich Village, didn’t see anything wrong when he decided to make the cookies and even asked his customers “Would you like a Drunk Negro Head Cookie with your coffee?” Ted Kefalinos was sticking to his story that the cookies were art and they were created to commemorate the inauguration of our new President Barack Obama. “He will follow in President Abraham’s footsteps” was another phrase that previous customers heard coming from the baker in which customers are now boycotting the bakery.

After the story broke, the bakery received many messages as well as death threats. he has now released an apology statement but the reality is that he has now tarnished the name of his bakery which has had cakes featured on Sex and the City and other well know series.

Stupid schmuck.

“I called them Drunken Negro Heads. What’s the problem with that?” Kefalinos asks the newscaster with a smirk. “On Inauguration Day I thought it would be cool to change the name to Obama Heads. I just changed it for the day.”

“Besides, nobody got upset about the “Dead Geese Bread” he sold after the recent Hudson River plane crash. Also, Kefalinos insists he can’t be racist because, for one thing, “my brother-in-law, he’s Cuban.”
