Some may say that Beth Ostrosky knows a little something about ugly dogs. Beth Ostrosky(now Beth Stern) will be hosting the 2008 World’s Ugliest Dog competition and you can see the event only on Animal Planet This Saturday Night 10pm Eastern.

Meet Beth Ostrosky
Host of The 2008 World’s Ugliest Dog Competition

Beth Ostrosky is a model, television personality and animal activist. Most recently she is recognized for her charitable efforts for North Shore, many talk show appearances and recent marriage to radio star Howard Stern.

Ostrosky was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and from an early age she was involved in modeling. She modeled throughout high school and continued to do so while attending college at The University of Pittsburgh where she studied English Literature. Ostrosky later moved to New York City to pursue a full-time modeling career, which prepared her for print and runway modeling in Europe.

Ostrosky has graced the pages of many magazines and was named one of FHM’s “Top 100 Sexiest Women of the Year” in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2007. She also appears regularly on network morning and daytime talk shows and has been a guest co-host on The View. Beth is also known for her work as a television personality for Spike TV and G4 and as a special correspondent for EXTRA.

Ostrosky has become known for her passion for animals. As the national spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League America, Ostrosky is an advocate for animals everywhere. On November 2, 2008, Ostrosky will run the New York City marathon to raise money for the Animal League in support of their mission save the lives of pets through adoption, rescue, spay/neuter and advocacy initiatives. She is also involved with The Wildlife Rescue in The Hamptons and English Bulldog Rescue on Long Island.

Beth resides in New York City with Howard and their adorable English bulldog, Bianca.
